Welcome to the new International House Journal Blog!
25/08/2015
We’re starting the blog to keep the conversation going between editions of the journal and to keep those interested updated on relevant events in the IH network. As school years start for many, this is also a time of new beginnings for the journal as we continue to come out of hibernation following the extended gap between the last edition and the one previous in early 2014. To help us with this, we asked readers to fill in a survey last year of what they liked and wanted to see more of, with a majority of respondents simply wanting more IH Journal – or more regular editions at least.
While that was not immediately feasible at the time of the survey, it is something we’ll be working towards in 2016. In the meantime, one idea I came up with to help get the momentum going was this blog. This is a space in which we’ll be discussing contemporary issues in English Language Teaching and sharing lesson ideas. We’ll be aiming to post here once a month at least and, while I’ll be writing the first few to get the momentum going, please do get in touch if you would be interested in contributing a post.
Watch this space!
